INDICT FOX NEWS! They Are as Guilty as Trump of the Same Crimes in His Latest Indictment

This week the twice-impeached Donald Trump was indicted for the third time for serious felonies against the United States. That brings the total count of the charges against him to 78. Which is a remarkable achievement considering that second place for the number charges against a president is a 45 way tie of zero counts.

The latest batch of crimes in the new indictment charge Trump with: conspiracy to defraud the United States; conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding; obstruction of an official proceeding; and conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted. Trump’s defense is the same one he has been yammering about since his first indictment. It consists mainly of insulting the Justice Department, Attorney General Merrick Garland, special counsel Jack Smith, and of course President Biden. What his defense is conspicuously lacking is, well, a defense.

SEE THIS: Trump is OUTRAGED He Wasn’t Indicted Years Ago, While Desperately Trying to Delay His Trials

Trump’s new indictment also mentions six of his close associates as unindicted co-conspirators. They are not named in the indictment, but it is pretty clear who most of them are. Five of them have been identified in the press as Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Sidney Powell, Jeffrey Clark, Kenneth Chesebro, and an unknown political consultant. Interestingly, all of the known co-conspirators have been Trump’s legal advisors.

However, there is another co-conspirator that wasn’t mentioned in the indictment, but that deserves more scrutiny. And that is Fox News. Examining each of the counts charged in Trump’s indictment reveals that Fox News is just as guilty of those crimes as Trump. For instance…

Conspiracy to defraud the United States:
Trump has spent nearly three years claiming falsely that the 2020 election was “rigged and stolen” from him. He has never been able to provide a shred of evidence to support his claims. But Fox News has regurgitated his lies faithfully the whole time. Their dishonesty resulted in having to agree to settle a defamation lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems for 3/4 of a billion dollars.

Conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding:
Trump and his team plotted to overturn the election results by soliciting slates of fake electors who would cast their Electoral College votes for Trump, against the will of the voters. Several of Fox’s hosts (i.e. Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Maria Bartiromo) were on board with that plot and encouraged Trump to pursue it.

Obstruction of an official proceeding;
Trump’s efforts to interfere with the constitutionally mandated duties of Congress to certify the election outcome resulted in the violent insurrection on January 6th, 2021. The riots that ensued caused Congress to shut down its proceedings as their members and staff, and even Trump’s Vice-President Mike Pence, fled for their lives.

Conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted:
All of Trump’s activities from election day November 3, 2020, until the the January 6th insurrection and beyond, were intended to deprive American voters of their right to have the candidate of their choice assume office. He even threatened the governor of Georgia (and other state officials) with prosecution if he didn’t “find” 11,870 more votes for Trump. And Fox News aided and abetted Trump every step of the way.

While the responsibility for these offenses against America and democracy lies primarily with Trump, it is impossible to separate Fox News from the conspiracy and the crimes. Although Trump was the criminal boss, he could not have gotten as far as he did without Fox News.

Trump’s lies about 2020 election fraud, his plots to undermine democracy, his inciting of an insurrection, his pressuring of state election officials to change vote counts, all contributed to his attempted coup, and were all backed by Fox News. And it is not insignificant that many of the January 6th defendants have cited Fox News as justification for their actions. But on Fox News those rioters were heralded as heroes and/or victims.

For all of the reasons stated above, it would be appropriate for Fox News to be included in the prosecution of Trump and his crimes against the United States. Fox principles like Rupert Murdoch and Suzanne Scott, along with hosts Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Jesse Watters, Maria Bartiromo, and others, should be held to account for their anti-American actions. They are more than disseminators of propaganda. They are co-conspirators and traitors.

Trump Gushes Over Staffer Who Quit DeSantis Campaign, Who Also Says Biden Beats Trump in 2024

After eight years of Donald Trump demonstrating that he is a marginally cognitive, compulsively lying, malignant narcissist, it seems hard to imagine that he can still surprise anyone with his blustering idiocy and persistent state of blind rage. But if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s not to underestimate the depths to which he can sink.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis

Trump is a perpetual outrage machine. He was consumed by anger when he won the election in 2016. Rather than celebrating, he delivered an inaugural address with the theme of “American Carnage.” And to no one’s surprise, his anger was multiplied many fold when he lost in 2020. For nearly three years now Trump has been whining about having been decisively beaten by President Joe Biden, a man he calls “Sleepy” or “Crooked” and who he thinks is both crippled by senility and driven by evil genius.

RELATED: Fox News Hypes Hostile ‘Trump Revenge Tour’ Promising that ‘If He Wins He’ll Be Out for Blood’

On Wednesday Trump posted a comment on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that once again illustrates just how demented he is. For several months Trump has been hammering at his competition for the 2024 Republican nomination for president. His main target has been Florida governor, Ron DeSantis. At every opportunity Trump lashes out at DeSantis, the only GOP candidate other than Trump who is in double digits in the polls. And in this case Trump reacted to the news that GOP campaign strategist, Ed Rollins, had quit the DeSantis “Ready for Ron” super PAC…

“Highly respected political pundit Ed Rollins just quit the DeSanctimonious Campaign saying that Ron is a highly ‘FLAWED CANDIDATE,’ whose poll numbers are crashing.”

Giving credit where it’s due, DeSantis is indeed a “highly ‘FLAWED CANDIDATE.'” Which might explain why his campaign has been going almost straight down ever since it began. Also, Rollins is a “Highly respected political pundit” in Republican campaign circles. However, Trump’s praise is peculiar for several reasons, as reported by Newsweek

To begin with, Trump is celebrating that Rollins departed the DeSantis PAC. But he must have forgotten that previously Rollins worked for Trump’s “Great America” PAC, which he left to go to work for DeSantis. So if quitting the DeSantis campaign reflects badly on DeSantis, the same thing must be true for quitting the Trump campaign. More to the point, after criticizing DeSantis, Rollins went on to say that with Trump as the GOP nominee…

“At the end of the day, I don’t see how Trump is a viable presidential candidate in part because of his legal problem. [but] unless something serious happens, Biden is probably going to get a second term…and I could even see Republicans losing their majority in the House.”

So the “highly respected political pundit” that Trump is praising so profusely for his good political sense, is predicting that Trump is going to lose again to Joe Biden. And Trump’s effect on the broader electoral landscape will also likely swing the House majority to the Democrats. And the same guy had the good sense to quit both the DeSantis and Trump campaigns. Sounds like a pretty savvy strategist. But don’t anybody tell Trump or it might trigger yet another meltdown.

Fox News Hypes Hostile ‘Trump Revenge Tour’ Promising that ‘If He Wins He’ll Be Out for Blood’

The Republican Party has long employed brazenly violent imagery and narratives to advance their anti-democratic agenda. And in the Era of Trump they escalated it levels that eventually led to the deadly January 6th insurrection in Washington, D.C. that Donald Trump incited.

Jesse Watters, Fox News

in conjunction with that authoritarian style hostility, the GOP’s Ministry of Disinformation – Fox News – has embraced the themes of warfare as a means of keeping their viewers engaged, and more importantly, consumed with blinding anger. The network is committed to the encouragement of violence on behalf of Republican politics and the MAGA movement of Trump.

RELATED: Fox News Openly Encourages Violence Against Democrats: ‘We Need These Lawmakers to Be Victims’

On Wednesday night, Jesse Watters (who replaced the ultra-violent Tucker Carlson) delivered a frothing tirade that was dripping with the sort of malice that inspires public massacres. He was mortified by the recent news that Trump was indicted for the third time on felony charges of undermining democracy. And he was determined to see to it that retribution would be meted out to everyone he regarded to be Trump’s tormentors. He harangued…

“If Trump wins, after he pardons himself, welcome to the Revenge Tour. Oh, he’ll be out for blood. You think he’s going to let bygones be bygones? He’s going to put his men at Justice, and the Clinton’s, the Obama’s, the Pelosi’s, the Schiff’s, and yeah, of course, the Bidens, everyone will be legally assaulted. Their family members, providers, their businesses, everything’s fair game after this. Trump won’t care about reelection because he’s only serving one term.”

SHEESH! Watters managed to cram in every scrap of animus he could muster. He began by floating the notion that Trump would pardon himself, for which there is no provision in the Constitution. What’s more, Watters was not subtle about his lust for “assault[ing]” Trump’s perceived foes and for Trump being “out for [the] blood” of even their family members.

Watters also warned that Trump’s revenge rampages would be unhindered by public will because he wouldn’t have to face another election. That should stir fear in the heart of every rational, patriotic American. But it’s even more disturbing than it appears on the surface. Watters is right if all means is that Trump could not run for a third term. But the prospect of Trump declaring himself president-for-life is a plausible one considering his efforts to cling to power after he lost in 2020.

This isn’t the first time that Watters has expressed his yearning for deadly violence. He previously raged that citizens who disagreed with Dr. Anthony Fauci should “go in with the kill shot.” But as sick as that is, most of Watters’ ravings are grossly oversaturated with his sexual perversions.

Trump Has Made His Decision to Chicken Out of the First GOP Primary Debate on Fox News

The roster of candidates for the 2024 Republican nomination for president is surprisingly long considering that the former GOP White House occupant is a candidate himself and is trouncing his rivals in the polls. That’s an indication that trouble is brewing for Donald Trump, and his party cohorts are willing to exploit it.

Donald Trump TV Set

Trump’s troubles are Titanic in scope. He has already been indicted on more than seventy felony counts ranging from violations of the Espionage Act, to paying hush money to a porn star, to obstruction of justice. And that isn’t counting the probable new charges related to his inciting the January 6th insurrection and staging an anti-democratic coup.

RELATED: Trump is OUTRAGED He Wasn’t Indicted Years Ago, While Desperately Trying to Delay His Trials

In the midst of this political apocalypse, the Republican Party is preparing for the the first presidential primary debate. It will be held August 23, and broadcast on Fox News. The candidates that have met the criteria for participation so far are Trump, Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Doug Burgum. Which is not exactly anyone’s idea of an electoral “A” list.

In what must be a humiliating descent into obscurity, Mike Pence has yet to qualify. For his part, Trump has been teasing for weeks that he would not join the contest for America’s Biggest Loser. Why should he, since he already won that title in 2020? However, Trump’s foremost motivation for missing the debate is fear. He has always proven to be afraid of participating in any event that he doesn’t control. That’s why all of his appearances are either on friendly MAGA media or at his own cult rallies.

SEE ALSO: Trump Previews His Excuses for Chickening Out of the Fox News Republican Primary Debate

On Monday morning Trump posted a comment on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that appears to put to rest the speculation about whether he would have the guts to debate his GOP peers. The post said simply…

“Let them debate so I can see who I MIGHT consider for Vice President!”

Notice that he refers to letting “them” debate, explicitly separating himself from the rabble. And his only interest in the affair is that it might serve as a casting call for his vice-president, were he to become the nominee. Which, given his legal peril, is not a foregone conclusion. Also, does anyone think that Trump would actually consider Ron DeSantis or Chris Christie as possible running mates?

The madness of Trump was also evident in other comments he posted. For instance, he alt-tweeted his prediction of more criminal charges saying that “I assume that an Indictment from Deranged Jack Smith and his highly partisan gang of Thugs…will be coming out any day now.” And he slandered President Biden by asserting with zero evidence that “Crooked Joe Biden stole Millions and Millions of Dollars from China.”

Perhaps the most pitiful display of ignorance was his failure to comprehend double jeopardy. He clearly doesn’t grasp the difference between an impeachment and an indictment when he claims that it is “ridiculous” for special counsel Jack Smith to charge him because he has already “been fully acquitted, in the U.S. Senate.” And for the record, a bipartisan majority of 57 senators voted to convict Trump of crimes related to his role in the January 6th insurrection, which was shy of the 67 needed for passage.

No wonder Trump is to scared to show up for the debate. He would have to account for his multitude of criminal offenses, along with his record of incompetence, corruption, and chaos, as the alleged president. And while most of the candidates on the stage are just as cowardly as Trump – they still refuse to openly attack him at the risk of angering his cult – he would still have to face occasional criticism (i.e. from Chris Christie) that he would be incapable of responding to coherently.

What’s more, Trump’s fear also extends to Fox News as the host of the debate. His dysfunctional relationship with the network infamous goes back many years. So perhaps it’s for the best that he’s too scared to show. He can only make things worse if he does.

Trump’s ‘Big Lie’ Lawsuit Against CNN Tossed By Court Because Truth is Not Defamation

The most litigious president in American history is unquestionably Donald Trump. He has a penchant for suing anyone and everyone, generally without any legal merit, as a means of retribution and to punish his political enemies for daring to challenge his delusional divinity.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, CNN

Trump’s most frequent attempts to abuse the court system have been through his challenges to the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. He and his associates lost at least sixty such lawsuits, mostly for failing utterly to provide a shred of evidence supporting his baseless assertions of voter fraud. The parade of frivolous litigation came to be referred to by politicians and the press as Trump’s “Big Lie.” And that triggered the perpetually perturbed Trump to file a lawsuit against CNN for defamation.

SEE THIS: Trump Attorney Announces Laughable Lawsuit Against CNN for Accurately Calling Trump a Liar

On Friday Trump’s case against CNN was thrown out of court for failing to present any argument that the reporting by CNN wasn’t actually true. According to Deadline

“A federal judge dismissed Donald Trump’s $475 million defamation lawsuit against CNN, litigation centered on references made by on-air figures to “the Big Lie,” or the former president’s unfounded claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him.

Trump had argued in his lawsuit, filed in federal court in Florida, that the references to the phrase were defamatory as they created a “false and incendiary association” between him and Adolf Hitler.”

U.S. District Judge Raag Singhal, a Trump appointee, ruled that the lawsuit cited CNN segments that were merely “a stacking of inferences that cannot support a finding of falsehood.” In other words, Trump could not prove that describing his unfounded claims of election fraud as the “Big Lie” was untrue. And as always, truth is the best defense against defamation. CNN’s reporting, according to the court, was lawful opinion, and Trump failed to make a plausible argument that it was in any way false.

The court also appropriately refused to entertain Trump’s complaint that associating him with a phrase that has been attributed to Hitler’s Nazi propaganda chief, Joseph Goebbels, was defamatory. How could it be when such associations are objectively true. Trump has been a far more prolific and flagrant disseminator of lies and propaganda than the Nazi regime. If anything, Hitler might have a better case of defamation for being associated with Trump.

Many of Trump’s misadventures in legal malpractice involve the media. He is especially anxious to try to muzzle the free press that he believes is out to get him. Consequently, he has sued everyone from CNN, to the Washington Post, to Twitter, and more. He even sued the Pulitzer board for awarding prizes to newspapers that honestly reported on his unsavory ties to Russia.

SEE ALSO: Trump Sues the Pulitzer Prize Board for Honoring Accurate Stories of His Russian Collusion

Trump has yet to prevail in of his defamation lawsuits. That’s because he has never even bothered to present a coherent argument that he was defamed or suffered any damages to his already repugnant reputation. It has always been a poorly staged melodrama of malice meant to bully those he hated or feared. And his record of losses is the best evidence of his disingenuous intent. Yet somehow, he persists in these losing causes no matter how many times he is struck down in humiliation.

Pelosi Skewers Squeaker McCarthy as ‘Pathetic’ for Trying to Expunge Trump’s Impeachments

The traumatic tribulations of Donald Trump continue to unfold as both his political and legal troubles escalate into the 2024 election season. Trump has already been indicted twice with a total of more than 70 felony counts of criminal conduct. And he is currently venting his anxiety over imminent new indictments related to the the January 6th insurrection that he incited.

Click here to Tweet this article

Kevin McCarthy, House Speaker (Squeaker), Donald Trump

Special counsel, Jack Smith, is said to be readying the latest batch of charges against Trump. Meanwhile, his first batch has just received a court date of May 20, 2024, which Trump had hoped would be delayed until after the next election. As would be expected of a malignant narcissist under these circumstances, Trump is grasping desperately for help from the glassy-eyed disciples of his cult that reside in Congress and the right-wing press.

RELATED: Scared and Desperate Trump Begs Congress to Save Him From the Meanies Prosecuting His Crimes

Among Trump’s most devoted congressional sycophants is Republican House Squeaker, Kevin McCarthy. And true to form, McCarthy is endeavoring to rescue his Dear Leader from the legal abyss. Although it may be more accurate to say that he is trying to rescue his speakership from the wrath of Trump and his MAGA caucus in Congress. In pursuit of that fear driven goal, McCarthy promised Trump that he would schedule a floor vote to “expunge” Trump’s two impeachments.

“About a month ago, the outlandish idea started to actually gain traction: Two prominent House Republicans — GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik and Marjorie Taylor Greene — introduced parallel resolutions to ‘expunge’ the former president’s impeachments, and a few days later, McCarthy surprised many by endorsing the gambit. ‘I think it is appropriate,’ the House speaker told reporters.”

For the record, there is no constitutional provision that would support such an expungement. At best it might give Trump a fig leaf with which to pretend – contrary to reality – that he had never been impeached. And on Sunday morning former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made the same argument in a pointed way. Pelosi was asked by CNN’s Dana Bash about the matter: “You oversaw both of those impeachment proceedings. What’s your reaction to this?”

“Well, the president was impeached because we had no choice. He had undermined our national security, jeopardized our well being of our country. Kevin is playing politics. It is not even clear if he constitutionally can expunge those things. If he wants to put his members on the spot – his members in difficult races on spot – that is a decision he has to make. But this is not responsible. […]

“This is about being afraid. As I’ve said before, Donald Trump is the puppeteer and what does he do all of the time but shine the light on the strings. These people look pathetic.”

The notion that historic impeachments on the congressional record can simply be disappeared by crybaby members of a wingnut faction of the GOP is patently absurd. But it’s even worse than that. There is a fair chance that the motion to expunge won’t even pass. There are Republicans in districts that Biden won who are not anxious to relitigate these issues. In fact, several Republicans have already said that they won’t vote for it. And McCarthy has a razor-thin margin of five votes in order to succeed.

What’s more, just bringing the question to the floor means that a debate would ensue for at least several days rehashing all of the reasons that Trump was justifiably impeached to begin with. It would refresh the memories of the American people as to just how corrupt he is, at the same time that the new indictments are being revealed.

Anyone with half a brain would recognize what a terrible idea this is for Trump and the GOP. Democrats are salivating at the thought of reminding the nation that Trump is unfit for office as he’s trying to mount a campaign to win it back. However, acting on terrible ideas is pretty much the hallmark of modern Republicanism. Just take a look at what they have been doing in Congress since they assumed their bare majority earlier this year…

Fox News Hack Laura Ingraham Proves that She Has Absolutely No Idea Who Donald Trump Is

Last April Fox News agreed to settle a defamation lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems for 3/4 of a billion dollars. It was a de facto admission that they had deliberately disseminated lies pertaining to non-existent election fraud in the 2020 presidential race.

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News, Laura Ingraham

It was just days following the settlement that Fox fired their top rated host, Tucker Carlson. And while they didn’t associate his termination with the lawsuit, it’s hard not to presume that there’s a connection. Not that they didn’t have a boatload of other reasons to set him adrift…

SEE THIS: A Post-Mortem on Tucker Carlson Following His Unusually Abrupt Departure From Fox News

As a result of the Carlson pink slip, Fox had to revamp their primetime lineup. So they took that opportunity to prop up their most pro-Trump truth manglers, Jesse Watters, Sean Hannity, Greg Gutfeld, and Laura Ingraham. For the most part, Fox got precisely what they wanted with this roster.

However, on Friday, Ingraham must have suffered a minor brain malfunction and said something that was partially rational and less than adoring of Trump (which will likely earn her a sharp rebuke from her cult messiah). In a monologue framed as political advice for the former White House occupier, Ingraham said that…

“Attacking popular governors and senators in battleground states is more than unwise, it’s self destructive. Why do it? Voters in a general election want to vote for a winner, not a whiner. So, please, for the love of god, stop talking about 2020. That will not bring a single voter out to support you that didn’t support you before. You need to grow the pot, not shrink it. Be magnanimous and be the elder statesman that Biden is not. Obviously capable of it. That will reassure people and, look, you’re policies worked before, they’re gonna work again.”

The first reaction by anyone familiar with the perverse personality of Trump would be wonder whether Ingraham had ever met him, or even heard of him. Let’s break down her suggestions in order to see if they make any sense at all.

To begin with, asking Trump not to attack people – even governors and senators of his own party – is like asking Hannibal Lector to lay off of human meat for lent. He doesn’t care if it’s unwise or self-destructive. He only cares that everyone worship him unwaveringly at all times. His most bitter assaults are usually reserved for fellow Republicans who he regards as apostates (or would if knew what the word meant).

Trump is not going to appreciate Ingraham implying that he is a “whiner.” Particularly in connection with his fixation on the 2020 election defeat that he still pretends to have won. She is right that Americans don’t want to keep hearing him yammer about election fraud that, even after sixty court cases, he has been unable to turn up a shred of proof. And forget about convincing him to stop talking about 2020. For him it’s an obsession that he can’t shake. Never mind that he has done nothing but lose since the anomaly in 2016. And he’s done nothing but whine about it ever since.

SEE ALSO: Victim-in-Chief: Trump is the most Cowardly, Whining, Crybaby to Ever Be President

Ingraham correctly points out that election victories hinge on efforts to “grow the pot, not shrink it.” But in Trump’s delusional mind, he already has an overflowing pot containing virtually every voting age American. Which may be why he has done nothing whatsoever to expand his base of voters that were not enough for victory in 2020. If anything, he has whittled his base down to just his most glassy-eyed cult disciples.

RELATED: Donald Trump is The Biggest Loser: Post-Midterm Poll Affirms What Everyone Already Knows

Ingraham concluded by suggesting that Trump should “be magnanimous” and present himself as an “elder statesman.” Which makes one wonder if she has any idea at all who Trump is. Has he ever displayed either of those characteristics in any measure? Trump is the textbook antithesis of diplomacy. He is a frothing brute who alienates our allies and embraces our enemies. And it is bizarre that Ingraham thinks her advice will be received with anything other than unbridled wrath, as he has done before.

Fox and Friends Slobber Over RFK Jr and Mock Democrats for Repudiating Him as a Republican Rat

The legacy of the Kennedy family in America is renowned for producing leaders of great character and compassion. President John Kennedy and his brothers, Robert and Ted, who served in the Senate, stood for equality and fairness across lines of race and class. They were heralds of Democratic values.

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News

Unfortunately, every family tree has its bad apples. And in the Kennedy clan that role has come to be filled by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. For much of his political life he has been consumed by crackpot conspiracy theories and distasteful associations with ultra right-wingers who are anathema to Democratic principles. He has become the Republican Party’s favorite anti-Democratic stooge and, more recently, a planted challenger to President Biden for the Democratic nomination for president.

RELATED: The Republican Party’s Desperate Smears of President Biden are Getting Even More Pathetic

Republicans have adopted RFK Jr as one of their own. They use him as a tool to bash Biden, while falsely claiming that his criticisms are evidence of disarray in the Democratic Party. And naturally, Fox News is leading the parade of wingnuttery that is embracing and exploiting him. On Thursday morning’s episode of Fox and Friends, the “Curvy Couch” potatoes demonstrated their adoration of RFK Jr in a segment that was supposed to be about his appearance at hearing held by the Republican-led House Committee on the Weaponization of Government.

The hearing was a typically partisan mess wherein Republicans filibustered with ridiculous attacks on Biden- and even his son Hunter – that had nothing whatsoever to do with the hearing’s purported agenda. It produced no evidence of any alleged wrongdoing. To the contrary, Democrats succeeded in exposing the GOP charlatans for staging yet another political sideshow.

This is where Fox and Friends comes in to try to salvage the farce that chairman Jim Jordan tried to put over on the nation. Although they had very little to work with. So what they ended up presenting was the following slimy suck up…

Brian Kilmeade: The problem with RFK Jr, he does his homework, is extremely bright. You better bring your ‘A’ game. And also, can you believe we are at a day when the Democrats would be calling a Kennedy disparaging names? What country are we in?

As usual, Kilmeade didn’t offer a single example of anything that RFK Jr said that supported his claim that he is “extremely bright.” But in Kilmeade’s defense, there aren’t any examples. Also, the fact that Democrats are willing to criticize members of a revered Democratic family only proves that they are not the sort of cult followers that the Republican devotees of Donald Trump are. If a Democrat does or says something stupid – or steals and lies about classified documents, or sexually assaults women in department stores, or tries to overthrow the government, or is impeached and indicted multiple times – they won’t continue to worship him as their messiah.

Fox Friend Steve Doocy briefly interjected something sensible, noting that “There are Kennedy family members who disagree with him as well.” Which is true. His sister Kerry Kennedy recently said that “His statements do not represent what I believe or what Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights stand for.” And his nephew, Joe Kennedy III said that “My uncle’s comments were hurtful and wrong. I unequivocally condemn what he said.”

Doocy’s colleagues ignored those remarks, then replied with mockery that Democrats correctly describe RFK Jr as “such a Republican.” Whereupon Kilmeade makes sure to note that, despite all the evidence, “He’s not a Republican. Oh my goodness.”

For the record, RFK Jr identifies himself as Democrat. However, virtually all of his supporters reside on the farthest fringes of right-wing Republicanism. They are people like Steve Bannon, who convinced him to enter the Democratic primary. And he proudly poses for pictures with the likes of Russian asset Mike Flynn, and GOP dirty trickster Roger Stone.

That’s who RFK Jr is. You know him by the company he keeps. And Fox News is brazenly participating in the charade that he is bona fide Democrat. Because they desperately need critics who they can claim are not partisan. And because they haven’t got any legitimate complaints about Biden other than pointless and pathetic smears that don’t make any sense. In fact, some of their attacks actually make Biden look so good that he’s now using them in his own campaign ads…

President Biden Trolls Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Hysterically Lame Swipe at Democratic Successes

The spectacle of the Republican Party’s efforts to malign Democrats is spiraling ever deeper into an abyss of pitiful nonsense. The fake scandal factory of the GOP has already spent untold hours in hearings wherein they thought they were hammering Democrats, but in which they only managed to dirty themselves with the mud they were throwing.

SEE THIS: The Republican Party’s Desperate Smears of President Biden are Getting Even More Pathetic

On Sunday, the Shadow GOP Speaker, Marjorie Taylor Greene, delivered a speech at the ultra right-wing Turning Point conference. She was surely convinced that her oratory would sink the Democratic Party and President Biden. Unfortunately for her, it had quite the opposite effect. So much so, in fact, that Biden embraced her speech and reposted on Twitter with the retort that said simply “”Caught us. President Biden is working to make life easier for hardworking families.” Greene began by noting the similarities between LBJ and Biden, saying that…

“Lyndon B. Johnson was the majority leader in the Senate. Does that sound familiar? He was Vice President to Kennedy, Joe was Vice President Obama. He was appointed as the president after JFK was assassinated. Then he was elected. His big socialist programs were the Great Society.

“The Great Society were big government programs to address education, medical care, urban problems, rural poverty, transportation, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps and welfare, the Office of Economic Opportunity and big labor and labor unions. Now LBJ had the Great Society, but Joe Biden had Build Back Better. And he still was working on it, the largest public investment in social infrastructure and environmental programs, that is actually finishing what FDR started, that LBJ expanded on and Joe Biden is attempting to complete.”

OH NOES!!! What a monster. President Biden is successfully addressing “education, medical care, urban problems, rural poverty, transportation, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps and welfare.” Whatever will become of America and her poor, beleaguered people when those problems have been mitigated?

Indeed. Biden has followed in the hallowed footsteps of past Democratic leaders who also sought to improve the lives and everyday Americans. And he is proud of having done so. It is the longtime mission of Democrats to advance the interests of hard-working people and middle-class citizens. As opposed to the mission of Republicans to advance the interests of corporations and the wealthy.

Greene continued with what she regards as failures of the Biden administration, such as $32 trillion of debt, much of which is attributable to Trump. She adds remarks about homelessness, which Republicans have never sought to address, or even pretend to care about. Then she comes to inflation, which has gone down for the last twelve consecutive months.

The speech that Greene disgorged was so ridiculous that the Lincoln Project turned it into a Democratic advertisement. And a damn good one…

WHUT? Trump Tells Fox News He ‘Drained the Swamp’ in DC – By Firing the People that He Hired

As the 2024 Republican presidential primary unfolds, Donald Trump is continuing to execute his bunker strategy by campaigning only in friendly environs. It’s a game plan that affirms the cowardice that has exemplified his approach to politics and life. He refuses to engage anyone in a situation that he can’t control. Which may be for the best since, due to his felony indictments, he doesn’t believe that he has any right to run at all.

Consequently, Trump isolates himself in a world that consists of only his strictly stage-managed cult rallies, and MAGA media such as Fox News. Although even with regard to the brazenly biased Trump-fluffing at Fox News, his fear of any confrontation, no matter how mild, results in his effecting a frantic retreat. That’s why he is already making excuses to sit out the first GOP primary debate that is being hosted by Fox.

SEE THIS: Trump Previews His Excuses for Chickening Out of the Fox News Republican Primary Debate

Trump has disgorged vicious assaults on Fox News, and insults of the network when it has been less than totally adoring. However, he remains faithful to the network’s most worshipful apostles of Trumpism. Among those true believers is Maria Bartiromo. And due to her unflinching infatuation with Trump, he consented to be interviewed by her.

As expected, the interview was not particularly newsworthy. It was just Trump repeating the same old lies and self-exaltations that he does during every other public appearance. However, he did let slip a confession related to his failure to fulfill the promises he made as occupant of the White House.

When Bartiromo asked Trump what he would have done differently as president, he responded by attacking his own appointees to cabinet posts. He singled out Attorneys General Bill Barr and Jeff Sessions, and “other people I didn’t like,” because they wouldn’t help him commit crimes, evade accountability, or overthrow the government. Which led Bartiromo to ask a fairly cogent follow up…

Bartiromo: “You didn’t drain the swamp like you said you would. You didn’t drain the swamp.”
Trump: I did. I fired [FBI Director James] Comey. I fired a lot of people. A lot of the people I have, I fired.

Indeed. Trump did fire Comey, and many other people that populated his cabinet and his White House staff. There were dozens of such terminations, most due to Trump’s dissatisfaction with their insufficient personal loyalty and their unwillingness to be accomplices to his unlawful acts. And the animosity that he felt toward them was heartily reciprocated. In Comey’s case, Trump explicitly admitted that “If I didn’t fire Comey, I don’t think I would have been able to serve out my term.” That’s an admission that he purposefully interfered with the administration of justice in order to save his own neck.

It’s notable that Trump’s reply to Bartiromo’s question about draining the swamp included only examples of his firing the people that he had hired. In other words, according to Trump, the swamp in D.C. was of his own making. And his efforts to clean it up were confined to “fixing” the problems that he created for himself.

Then again, virtually all of Trump’s problems are those that he created for himself. That’s certainly true with regard to the legal peril that he now finds himself mired in. But his tactic of consorting only with his cult devotees in the media is unlikely to get him out of trouble. in fact, it’s only going to insure that his perception of the world remains utterly delusional.
