DARK BRANDON STRIKES AGAIN: Biden Drops Proof of Trump’s Mental Meltdowns on Truth Social

The ongoing Republican effort to smear President Biden as too old to serve is a transparently phony exercise in projection in order to distract the American people from Donald Trump’s tenuous grasp on reality. And it also reveals that the GOP has no substantive criticisms of the President, whose first term has been historically productive.

Donald Trump, Insane, Straight Jacket

Leading the way in the GOP’s malicious maligning of Biden is, of course, the chief MAGA-loid and cult messiah himself, Dear Leader Trump. Never mind that Trump’s mental acuity has been suspect for years. While Biden has made some mistakes when speaking, they were generally minor mispronunciations and verbal glitches that didn’t reflect on his intellect or ability to comprehend complex matters of state. Trump’s “mistakes,” however, are of a much more troubling nature. They expose his incoherency on issues, his racism and fear mongering, his vengefulness, and his sheer idiocy.

SEE THIS: Fox News ‘Doctor’ Makes Bogus Diagnosis of Biden that Fits Trump’s Cognitive Disorder Way Better

On Thursday Trump took to his failing social media scam, Truth Social, to renew his tedious and hollow attacks on Biden. He posted a comment that said…

“Crooked Joe Biden must take a Cognitive Test. Maybe that way we would be able to find out why he makes such terrible decisions. I took two of them, and ACED them both (no mistakes!). All Presidents, or people wanting to become President, should mandatorily take this test!”

Biden’s cognitive health is evident in his accomplishments. He has presided over a booming economy, unprecedented job creation, and a legislative agenda that includes progress on climate and the environment, healthcare, gun reforms, tax equity, infrastructure, manufacturing, and more. Meanwhile, Trump has been spending his days in court defending himself against dozens of civil and criminal charges.

Furthermore, Trump’s bragging about having “aced” two cognitive tests is pure bullpucky. He took tests that asked him to identify a camel and count backwards, and he thinks that establishes him as a candidate for Mensa membership.

SEE ALSO: Trump Suffers Mental Collapse Over Poll that Asks About His Obviously Collapsing Mental Health

What’s more, Trump’s demand that cognitive tests be mandatory is contrary to what the Constitution defines as requirements to serve as president. Not that Trump has ever cared about the Constitution. If he did he would observe what the 14th Amendment says about insurrectionists and withdraw from the race. He has even called for termination of parts of the Constitution that he doesn’t like.

SEE THIS: Trump Literally Calls for Termination of the Constitution and FREAKS OUT Over Bogus Fox News Story

Trump’s latest attack on Biden came on the same day that Biden posted a video mocking Trump’s failing mental state. The video contained examples of Trump mixing up the names of people, which he later tried to pretend was deliberate.

For good measure, the Biden-Harris campaign posted the same video on Trump’s Truth Social. So they are putting his flawed persona right in their faces. Not that his cult followers will be moved by actual proof that he is severely debilitated. They seem to like him better that way.

Their adoration wasn’t diminished when he bragged about grabbing women by the p***y, or when he said he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue, or when he was found liable for defamation and rape, or when dined with a professed Nazi at Mar-a-Lago, or when he “encouraged” Vladimir Putin to attack our NATO allies, or when he exalted himself as akin to the messiah. So why would a severe mental handicap bother them now?

Putin Toady Tucker Carlson is Now Calling Jon Stewart ‘A Tool of the Regime in a Sinister Way’

The bitter feud that has long been simmering between Daily Show host, Jon Stewart, and fetid fish stick heir, Tucker Carlson, is heating up in the wake of Carlson’s latest bootlicking “interview” of Russian dictator, Vladimir Putin. And that increase in temperature isn’t helping to stem the stench of Tucker’s treasonous tendencies.

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News, Vladimir Putin, Tucker Carlson

Three weeks ago Carlson jetted off to Russia for a visit with Putin, his hero and role model for American totalitarianism. The resulting discussion could not have been more or a PR coup for Putin if it had been scripted by a Kremlin press agent. Which it very well might have been. Carlson never challenged Putin’s blatant lies and self-serving distortions of reality. But then why would anyone expect him to? Carlson has literally bragged about his support for Russia over America, saying “Why shouldn’t I root for Russia, because I am.”

SEE THIS: Tucker Carlson Snuggles Up to His Master, Vladimir Putin, in a Humiliating Parade of Propaganda

Carlson followed up his Putin-fluffing interview with a VIP tour of Moscow’s glorious grocery stores and subway stations. He gushed with wide-eyed praise for them as being far superior to anything in the U.S. That led to another brutal smackdown by Stewart who mocked Carlson as the sort of “useful idiot” that Russia relies on to advance their propaganda.

SEE ALSO: Jon Stewart Mercilessly Shreds Tucker Carlson’s Vile Veneration of Vladimir Putin and Russia

So naturally, Carlson decided to fight back this week, defending himself as a patriot, saying that “I’m an American. I’m like a decent person. I just want to be able to walk to the grocery store without being murdered.” Which he apparently thinks Americans can’t do. And he might want to ask all the dead or imprisoned Russians about the risks of being a Putin critic.

But Carlson was just getting started. He then lashed out at Stewart, saying that he was “trying to prepare the population for accepting a lot less. He is really a tool of the regime in a sinister way, always has been.” Of course, the “regime” that Carlson is talking about is American democracy, not the Russian dictatorship that Carlson is such an obvious tool of.

To the contrary, in his role as a political satirist Stewart has been a constant critic of government and its enablers. He has never sucked up to the powerful the way that Carlson does to Putin. What Carlson is really whining about is that Stewart criticized him. And like Trump, and other malignant narcissists, Carlson could not abide that. Which led to another ridiculous stab at defending himself and pretending that he doesn’t worship Putin…

“The idea that I would be flacking for Putin when my relatives fought in the Revolutionary War…Like, I’m as American as you could be. It’s like crazy to me.”

First of all, assuming that Carlson is telling the truth about his distant relatives (which is a risky assumption), national loyalty isn’t handed down from generation to generation. Secondly, Carlson doesn’t say which side his relatives were allegedly fighting for. And given his predisposition toward monarchical tyranny, they may very well have been fighting for the British.

Finally, the idea that Carlson is a flack for Putin is anything but crazy. It’s been proven by his own words and behavior for years. And even worse, the Republican Party, following Trump’s lead, has also succumbed to the will of Putin and Russia. The MAGA right-wing today is firmly in Putin’s camp.

President Biden is Interviewed on Late Night with Seth Meyers, But Trump, as Usual, is the Joke

The 2024 election cycle is in full bloom. And that means that candidates are going to be making more appearances on a variety of media, including those generally regarded as entertainment. For President Biden that means appearing on late night comedy talk shows. For Donald Trump that means getting fluffed by the likes of Sean Hannity on Fox News, which despite its name, is designated as entertainment.

Donald Trump

On Monday night Biden made a surprise appearance on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers (video below). It was the program’s 10 year anniversary special, and Meyers celebrated by bringing in the same guests that appeared on his first show, Amy Poehler and then-VP Joe Biden. It takes a certain measure of courage to engage in humorous banter with professionals, which Biden has shown frequently. Trump, on the hand, has shown only his notorious cowardice and aversion to any sort of unfriendly media.

SEE THIS: Trump Has a Fear of Comedians that’s Rooted in His Fear of Looking Like a Fool – Too Late

Biden responded to a variety of questions with humor, compassion, intelligence, and insight. He joked about “Dark Brandon” and the preposterous Taylor Swift conspiracy theories. As for Meyers, he covered some of the most pressing issues of the day. He asked Biden about the difficulties of producing bipartisan legislation; about Trump encouraging Vladimir Putin to “Do whatever the hell you want” to America’s NATO allies; about the risk to democracy in the upcoming election; and about the Israel-Hamas war.

Meyers put the Trump-fluffers on Fox News to shame, assuming they had any capacity for it. But he also gave Biden an opportunity to shine comedically. For instance, there was the following exchange concerning the ridiculously overblown age issue…

Meyers: You are currently 81 years old. All jokes aside, according to recent polling this is a real concern for American voters. How do you address that concern going forward as you come up to the 2024 election?
Biden: Well, a couple things. Number one, you got to take a look at the other guy. He’s about as old as I am, but he can’t remember his wife’s name. Number two, it’s about how old your ideas are. Look, I mean, this is a guy who wants to take us back. He wants to take us back on Roe v. Wade. He wants to take us back on a whole range of issues after 50, 60 years they have been solid American positions.

For the record, Biden’s reference to Trump forgetting Melania’s name comes from a recent Trump rally wherein he appeared to call her “Mercedes.” Meyers included that earlier in the show during his “A Closer Look” segment:

Throughout the interview, Biden wasn’t shy about criticizing Trump. Among the more pungent put-downs were his observations of Trump’s “disregard the rule of law;” his intentions to “ignore the Constitution,” his promise to “forgive” and “release” the violent January 6th insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol; and his demand that Congress kill bipartisan legislation to enhance border security and fund Israel and Ukraine in order to help Trump politically.

We can expect Trump to fly into one his typical ketchup throwing tantrums when he’s is eventually told about this. But that isn’t going to make him feel any better, nor advance his campaign to reoccupy the White House. It will just make the walls of Mar-a-Lago tastier.

UPDATE: As expected, Trump went off on Biden and Meyers, whose show he said was low-rated. But obviously Trump was watching and thought it was important enough to produce a video whining about it. This is the pathetic crybaby that the GOP is gonna nominate for president?

OOPS: Fox News Host Spills that Trump Couldn’t Answer Questions About ‘Ensuring’ Fair Elections

In November of 2020, Joe Biden won a historic election wherein he defeated an incumbent who maligned Biden as a mentally impaired, radical leftist who was stealing the election. So Donald Trump was, in effect, conceding that, despite his being president, he couldn’t stop someone he regarded as a senile communist from committing unprecedented voter fraud.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Fox News

It’s been more than three years since Trump decisively lost his reelection bid to President Biden. But he is still obsessed with babbling about the alleged election fraud for which he has failed to produce a sliver of proof after more than 60 court cases, dozens of state audits, and innumerable promises of revealing what he claimed was “irrefutable” evidence.

SEE THIS: YEAH, RIGHT! Trump Promises an ‘Irrefutable,’ ‘Completely Exonerating’ Report on Election Fraud

In the intervening years, Trump has relied on his Ministry of Propaganda – aka Fox News – to buttress his baseless allegations and spread malicious lies intended to delegitimize Biden’s presidency. However, after being slapped with a $787 million judgment for defamation related to their election fraud deceit, the Fox News mission to furiously defend Trump at all times has gotten a bit wobbly in the knees.

That weakness has manifested in sometimes careless leaking of unfavorable information about Trump. And on Monday morning one of Fox’s most worshipful Trump-fluffers, Maria Bartiromo, inadvertently let just such a derogatory mention slip out. In an interview with Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney, Bartiromo inquired as to what Republicans were doing to prevent future election fraud…

“I asked Trump all about this. I kept saying to him, ‘What are you doing to ensure a fair and free election in November?’ He had no answers. I mean, what has the RNC done? What are the governors doing? So let me ask you…What specifically can you tell us that you and your colleagues have done to ensure a free and fair election in November?”

Rep. Tenney replied with a classic word salad response that offered nothing specific, other than having held meetings with “great governors like Gov. DeSantis” and “putting boots on the ground.”

However, Bartiromo’s question contained something a bit more newsworthy than Kenney’s politically rote reply. She revealed that all of her prior attempts to get Trump to explain what he would do to “ensure a fair and free election” were met with blank stares. That’s unusual for Trump, who is known for his ability to fill airtime with empty blathering, self-exaltations, and hostile insults, often completely ignoring the question that was asked.

Of course the reason that Trump had no answers for how he would ensure fair elections is two fold. First, he has no answers because he is an ignoramous who can’t think his way out of a paper bag. And Second, because there are no answers needed. The election wasn’t marred by election fraud to begin with. That’s something that even Fox News host Bret Baier pressed Trump on recently…

It’s notable that Trump argued with Baier by pushing already debunked lies and interjecting things that were unrelated to the question. Baier wasn’t accepting those evasions. He even returned to the question to ask if the diversions Trump spewed were how he was going to restore support from the female independent suburban voters he was losing.

Not to worry though. Sean Hannity, Jesse Watters, Laura Ingraham, and the “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends are all still solidly in Trump’s camp.

REALLY? Dementia Addled Trump Babbles that ‘I Have Never Seen the Republican Party So Unified’

The 2024 presidential election cycle has been dominated in the media by questions of the mental acuity of both candidates. It’s not a particularly fair contest considering that President Biden’s alleged signs of aging are generally harmless verbal glitches that were common in his youth, while Donald Trump’s are frightening expressions of vengeance, aspirations of tyranny, or just plain incoherence.

Donald Trump, Republican, GOP

Trump’s remarks prior to and following the South Carolina Republican primary affirm the fragility of his psychological state. Among his mental malfunctions were his tribute to the violent January 6th insurrectionists; his fear mongering about “terrorist” migrants who speak “languages nobody has ever heard of;” and his comparison of his 91 felony charges, that were issued by citizen grand juries, to “Stalinist show trials.” He was so debilitated that even Fox News couldn’t pretend anymore.

SEE THIS: Fox News Host Neil Cavuto Interrupts Trump’s Lying to Note ‘He’s Not Entitled to His Own Facts’

Naturally, Trump’s notorious narcissism and massive ego were on full display. And never more so than when he attempted to glorify himself and his supposed blowout victory. Despite defeating his opponent, Nikki Haley, by about twenty points – after he predicted it would be thirty or forty – Trump had the audacity to proclaim that…

“There’s never been a spirit – ever – there’s never been a spirit like this. And I just want to say I have never seen the Republican party so unified as it is right now.”

WHUT? No rational person could describe losing 40% of your own party’s vote as a show unity. And that’s what happened, not just in South Carolina, but in New Hampshire and Iowa as well. By contrast, Biden won 96% of the vote in South Carolina’s Democratic primary. That’s unity.

What’s more, does Trump see GOP unity in Congress, where Republicans took 15 votes to elect Kevin McCarthy Speaker? Nine months later they booted him out. Then it took three weeks to replace him with Mike Johnson, who was their fourth choice, after Steve Scalise, Jim Jordan, and Tom Emmer failed. And they have been unable to pass critical legislation to fund the government, secure the border, or aid America’s allies in Israel and Ukraine. If anything, Trump has unified the GOP for its own destruction.

Once again, let’s see what Fox News had to say about Trump’s boasting of party unity. This time from Fox anchor John Roberts…

“The real key here is that 59% of Haley voters say that they would not vote for Donald Trump should he become the nominee. That tracks to about 24% of the Republican Party.”

Indeed, this is key. Because there is little hope for Trump to prevail in the general election if he can’t hold more than 60% of his GOP base. And these are not simply people who chose a different candidate in the primary. They are declaring that they won’t for Trump in the general election either.

Trump’s dementia has to be pretty bad for Fox News to notice it. But apparently, it has to be even worse for Trump to notice it. He told his cult followers at CPAC not to worry, because…

“There is no cognitive problem. If there was I’d know about it. In fact, if there was, you’ll be the first to know. Because I will tell you.”

Of course. And everyone knows that Trump would readily observe any cognitive decline that he might suffer, and he would immediately declare it to the world. Just like he’s declaring the unprecedented unity of the MAGA Republican Party that regularly throws their own under a caravan of buses, and can’t pass any significant bills if their lives depended on it. But never fear. Trump will keep us posted if his brain ceases to function. That should make his cult disciples feel better.

Fox News Host Neil Cavuto Interrupts Trump’s Lying to Note ‘He’s Not Entitled to His Own Facts’

Future psychiatrists and historians are going to have a field day exploring the paranoia, narcissism, and crybaby theatrics of Donald Trump. His deep-seated perceptions of victimhood form the foundation of his persistent hostility and emotionally disturbed detachment from reality. It’s a classic case of self-deception that is buttressed by his blindly devoted cult followers.

Donald Trump, Wah

The trials and tribulation of Trump are hard enough for him to handle when all he has to worry about are the “communists, fascists, thugs, and lunatics,” of the Democratic Party, the “fake news,” and the “Deep State” sponsored “witch hunts” conducted by President Biden’s “Department of Injustice.” But when his own Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News, is less than zealously committed to his deceits, be prepared for the ensuing fireworks.

FOR INSTANCE: Trump Goes on Psycho-Rant Accusing Fox News of Sabotaging Him with Bad Pictures and Polls

On Friday Fox News host Neil Cavuto briefly stepped off of the Trump train to deliver a bit of what we call journalism. In the midst of one of Trump’s cult rally speeches, Cavuto cut in for some fact-checking. That’s something that Fox News is not accustomed to doing. In fact, it is generally frowned upon at Fox. But on this occasion Cavuto went rogue. He broke away from the Trump Show to advise his viewers that…

“We’re continuing monitoring the president’s remarks, and I mean no offense to him, some of you might want to continue to hear him, but I did have to say that even though the former president is entitled to his opinions, he’s not entitled to his own set of facts. The market has indeed been going up and having nothing to do with him […] So that whether you want to give Biden credit for that, it has nothing to do with Donald Trump.

“Furthermore, he mentioned about gas prices out of whack at $6.00 a gallon. The national average right now is $3.26 a gallon.

“He went on to talk about the 2020 election and how that was ‘rigged.’ This has been adjudicated many, many times. Dozens of times. It’s been investigated by everyone and his uncle. No fewer than 44 investigations launched – some of them by judges that were picked by Donald Trump himself – that found no evidence of that in the seven battleground states where most of them were focused. Donald Trump lost each and every one of those states.”

Well said! But while Cavuto should be commended for setting the record straight on these matters, it barely scratches the surface of Trump’s pathological lying. And it’s important to remember that Fox devotes far more of its airtime – especially in primetime – defending Trump’s lies than correcting them. However, this is the second time this month that Fox has contradicted the Trumpian right-wing narrative. Trump’s former National Economic Council director, Larry Kudlow, diverted from Trump orthodoxy to praise recent economic data saying that…

“We had a blowout jobs report. More than twice the consensus expectations. Now, I know many of my conservative friends are trying to drill holes in this report. But you know what, folks? It is what it is. It’s a very strong report.”

While these exceptions to the Fox rule are welcome, Trump is still being coddled in other segments that go out of their way to stir fear and despair. For example, on Friday Fox host Lawrence Jones asked Trump what his “final message” was for the primary voters in South Carolina. Trump was decidedly dystopian saying that…

“We’re gonna make America great again. We have a real problem. Our country has never been this way. It’s never been so dangerous. They’re so sick. [rambling lies about immigration] He’s destroying our country. He’s a horrible president.”

So danger, sickness and destruction, are the key descriptors of Trump’s America. Which is nothing new for him. President Biden, on the other hand, was considerably more optimistic, encouraging, and patriotic, saying that…

“Inflation is now lower in America than any other major economy in the world. We have more to do, but we’re seeing real evidence that American consumers are feeling real confidence in their economy again.”

Those two statements convey the difference between the attitudes of these two men. Trump is an angry, vengeful prophet of doom. Biden is the voice of hope and the promise of America. The American people will choose between them in November. And it shouldn’t be a particularly difficult choice.

Rev. Trump Found the Winning Campaign Message for 2024: Saving Christian Programs on AM Radio

There is a perverse irony, and holy hypocrisy, in the embrace of Donald Trump by people who profess to be Christian. They could not have settled for a less representative spokesman for a community of faith that allegedly reveres universal love, forgiveness, and moral rectitude.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump Messiah

Trump is a serial adulterer who has cheated on all three of his wives. He is a pathological bearer of false witness (aka liar). He exudes greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony, pride, and sloth. In short, Trump is the antithesis of Christian piety. He has even explicitly referred to himself as a messianic incarnation of Christ.

SEE THIS: Trump Says ‘I Am the Chosen One’ After Tweeting that He’s ‘The Second Coming of God’

On Thursday Trump spoke at a convention of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), an association of Christian media professionals. And his address was replete with the sort of self-exaltation that he is well known for. However, he also waded into bizarre, dystopian tales of “Big Media” and “left-wing pressure groups” telling the televangelists what to say.

“They want you to say what they want you, what they want to have you say. And we’re not gonna let that happen. You’re going to say as you want and you’re going to believe, and you’re going to believe in God. You’re gonna believe in God because God is here and God is watching. God is watching. And God probably can’t believe what he’s seeing.”

First of all, anyone listening to this garbled mess would conclude that Trump is mentally unfit to serve tables at Appleby’s. But setting aside the cognitively fractured state of his rhetoric, Trump is fear mongering about censorship of Christian media that doesn’t exist. He then went on to offer himself as their savior, saying that…

“I will protect the content that is pro-God. We’re going to protect pro-God context and content. To that end, at the request of the NRB, I will do my part to protect AM radio in our cars. You know, we like to listen to AM radio. Because you know what we’re listening to.”

So Trump is apparently going to decide for everyone what “pro-God” content is. And he is planning to force private companies to distribute those Trump-approved sermons on media that is fading in popularity.

In Trump’s America auto manufactures won’t be allowed to decide what features to include in their cars. Maybe he will demand that they install 8-track players, or subsidize Christian channels on subscription radio services such as SiriusXM. He surely isn’t going to display the same fervor for Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, or any other brand of religiosity in media.

Trump’s speech to the NRB also included some ridiculous – in a frightening way – comments. Such as his bragging about overturning Roe vs Wade, and that “everybody on both sides” agrees with that Supreme Court decision. Does he, or his cult followers, actually believe that? He also lied that Democrats are in favor of abortion “even after birth.” And he promised to get rid of the Department of Education, because he “loves the poorly educated.”

For the most part this was Trump’s standard stump speech, complete with the tedious references to his multiple indictments, which he regards as akin to crucifixon. But this spiel was littered with more verbal glitches, incoherent wandering, and slurred words, as his mental cognition deteriorates.

To that downward spiraling, Trump added his new advocacy for an authoritarian imposition of Christian AM radio in every car. All of which sounds like a great campaign strategy. So long as he is running for Commander-in-Chief of Ward 7, with Nurse Ratched as his VP.

The Biden-Harris Campaign Posts MSNBC Video of Trump’s Tyrannical Tendencies on Truth Social

The new year has barely begun, but in its infancy there have already been some significant events that will likely shape the rest of the year as it progresses toward a profoundly significant election. Among them are the judgments against Donald Trump for defamation, rape, and financial fraud, that total nearly half a billion dollars that he likely doesn’t have.

Donald Trump, Joe Biden

As the 2024 presidential election cycle heats up, both Democrats and Republicans are beginning to sharpen their focus on their opponents. For Donald Trump that sharpening comes in the form of ever increasing crackpottery, including his noxious infatuation with his idol, Vladimir Putin, who he says he will “encourage” to attack our NATO allies unless they pay protection money.

SEE THIS: Trump is Running a Mob-Style Protection Racket Whose Victims Include NATO and Taylor Swift

For Democrats, their sharpening is aligned with the principles they embrace as a party that is committed to advancing the interests of all Americans. President Biden has already been focusing his campaign on substantive issues that the American people care about, such as jobs, abortion, climate and environment, healthcare, gun reforms, tax equity, diplomacy, and saving democracy. While Trump has been ranting feverishly about “witch hunts,” “election interference,” and scary brown immigrants.

On Thursday the Biden-Harris campaign team took a step outside of the safe harbor of friendly media to confront Trump’s MAGA Republicans where they live – on Trump’s failing social media scam, Truth Social They posted a video clip of a discussion on MSNBC’s “Deadline: White House” that featured former Republican congressman, David Jolly. In the clip Jolly noted that Trump has never criticized Putin, and fails to recognize that he is a dictator. Elaborating, he said (Note: this tweet is the same as the post on Truth Social)

“Let’s talk about why Donald Trump won’t say anything. Clearly he’s under the influence of Vladimir Putin, or he has sympathies for Vladimir Putin’s agenda, and he refuses to stand up for the national security interests of the United States […] This is more than Trump now. This appears to be the Republican orthodoxy that’s providing equity to Russia and to Putin, and it’s very dangerous [and that] Vladimir Putin and Russia are a threat to Western security interests. But so is Donald Trump.”

The truth of Jolly’s commentary is obvious to clear-eyed observers who have followed Trump and his adoration of Putin. But Trump’s cult disciples on Truth Social are generally shielded from this sort of honest appraisal. They may still be unaware of its existence unless they deliberately seek it out. But the act of placing it in their domain is a fun exercise in trolling. And it could result in some of them getting exposed accidently.

The Biden-Harris campaign is making a point simply by posting the video. They aren’t afraid to engage with MAGA on their own turf. Trump however, will never venture outside of his hermetically sealed MAGA bunker, surrounded by sycophants and bootlickers. Even though the results of that cowardice may ultimately do him more harm than good.

SEE ALSO: Trump Gets Brutally Fact-Checked Following His Fawning Fox News Town Hall with Laura Ingraham

The criticism in Jolly’s commentary has been expressed by others, including by some of Trump’s former insiders. But it needs to be disseminated more widely throughout the campaign season. Trump’s worshipful embrace of Putin, and his envy of Putin’s domineering authoritarianism, is a threat to American democracy. And it cannot be permitted to take hold.

Consequently, the Biden-Harris campaign should continue to deliver that message everywhere. Not because it is likely to convince Trump cultists to change their views. But because it needs to fill the information vacuum and set the narrative for the coming election. And also because it’s just darn funny to rub their noses in some truth every now and then.

Trump Gets Brutally Fact-Checked Following His Fawning Fox News Town Hall with Laura Ingraham

The frequency with which Donald Trump has been found to have deliberately lied has exceeded every standard for measurement. He simply does it too often, and too flagrantly, to keep up with. At this point it would be easier to document the extremely rare instances of Trump saying something that is even marginally true.

Donald Trump, Fox News, Lies

On Tuesday night Fox News Senior Trump-Fluffer, Laura Ingraham, hosted yet another town hall for the former reality TV game show host. And true to form, throughout the event Trump awkwardly avoided any answers that resembled reality. It’s an achievement that would impress modern history’s most accomplished political prevaricators, from Richard Nixon to George Santos. And naturally, Fox News provided the platform for Trump’s puerile duplicity.

SEE ALSO: Trump-Fluffing Fox News Host Doesn’t Get It: You Have to Hate Trump to Love America

Following the free airtime that Fox News gifted to Trump’s reelection campaign, CNN’s Daniel Dale delved into the answers Trump gave and, to no one’s surprise, found that they were almost entirely bullpucky. In an abbreviated segment that only touched the surface of Trump’s dishonesty, Dale disclosed the following failures of the fact-challenged Trump and his facilitators on Fox News (video below)

On U.S. aid to Ukraine vs aid from the E.U.:
Trump: We’re in for over $200 billion. They’re in for $35 billion.
Dale: Those numbers appear pulled out of thin air. They’re not even close to true. According to one reputable tracker of aid to Ukraine, the Kiel Institute, which is based in Germany, is actually E.U. countries and E.U. institutions that are far outpacing the U.S. when it comes to aid commitments to Ukraine, $156 billion for the E.U. starting in 2022 around when the war began, to $73 billion to the U.S.

On allegedly stopping the Nord Stream 2 pipeline:
Trump: I stopped it. I told Germany you’re not having it. I told all of Europe you’re not having it…I ended it.
Dale: What Trump actually did was approve sanctions on some of the companies working on the project. But here’s the critical thing. He only did that about three years into his presidency, when the pipeline was already about 90 percent completed. And even after he imposed those sanctions, the Russian state-owned company behind the pipeline said, okay, fine, we’ll just complete it ourselves.

On his illegal possession of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago:
Trump: Everybody took them out. It only became a big subject when I took things out…The difference is I had what’s called the Presidential Records Act. I was allowed to do what I did.
Dale: Reagan and Bush did not take classified documents home. In fact, the National Archives debunked this claim last year when Trump made it then. He was not allowed to take these documents. It is in black and white in the Presidential Records Act that all official records belong to the government after a president leaves office.

On the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago:
Trump: We were talking, and then all of a sudden they raided Mar-a-Lago.
Dale: In fact, the FBI search in Mar-a-Lago came more than a year after the National Archives started its polite asking to try to get these documents back.

And that was just for starters. Some of the other lies and ludicrous claims that Trump unleashed, but that Dale didn’t have time to cover, included…

“If you have mail-in voting you automatically have fraud.”
Not only is there no evidence of that, but Trump routinely votes by mail.

First thing he’ll do on the border if reelected: “Drill baby, drill”
That, of course, has nothing to do with the border, Also, The U.S. is currently producing more oil than ever, and more than any other country.

“We have a new category of crime called migrant crime.”
Another crisis that Trump has made up. What’s more, crime is down nationally during the Biden administration.

On his $355 million judgment: “It’s a form of Navalny” (and communism and fascism).
This hardly requires a response. However… Alexey Navalny was a courageous advocate of democracy. Trump is a notorious coward and crybaby. and he clearly doesn’t know what the words communism or fascism mean.

It’s too bad that Trump’s cult followers aren’t going to hear the truth about his incessant lies. Although, even when they do they don’t believe it. That’s the nature of a cult. But it is still necessary to have honest rebuttals to the falsehoods spread by Trump, Fox News, and most of the MAGA-infected Republican Party. We can’t allow them to control the narrative in the media.

Jon Stewart Mercilessly Shreds Tucker Carlson’s Vile Veneration of Vladimir Putin and Russia

The return of Jon Stewart to “The Daily Show” is proving to be a stark reminder of just how much the world of media satire has been missing for the past nine years. His ability to wrap fact-filled commentaries in a humorous package with biting deliveries is unparalleled in contemporary comedy.

Jon Stewart, Donald Trump

Monday night’s episode was a perfect example of this as Stewart refocused his attention an old and pitiful adversary, Tucker Carlson. Stewart frequently creamed Carlson’s ivory tower white nationalism when he was a Fox News Trump-fluffer. And even before that, when Carlson co-hosted CNN’s Crossfire. On Monday Stewart referenced an infamous exchange from that era saying that “I know I’ve said this before, but you’re such a dick.”

Stewart was not swayed by Carlson’s worshipful propaganda (video below). He reviewed Carlson’s lapdog interview of his hero, Vladimir Putin, describing his enrapt facial expression throughout as “like you’re constipated while jerking off to a Sears catalog.” Carlson spent most of his two hour audience with Putin gazing adoringly at him as he disseminated flagrantly self-serving disinformation and outright lies. None of which were challenged by Carlson.

Stewart brutally took apart Carlson’s slobbering adoration of Russia’s subway stations and grocery stores, including his feigned surprise that the value of groceries there had “radicalized” him against U.S. leaders, whom he apparently believes set the prices for groceries. Stewart mocked Carlson saying…

“And it will radicalize you! Unless you understand basic economics. See, $104.00 for groceries sounds like a great bargain unless you realize Russians earn less than $200.00 a week. But that’s the kind of context that a — what did you call yourself earlier? — a “journalist” would have provided.

“But here’s the reality: You f*cking know all this. Because you aren’t as dumb as your face would have us believe. Perhaps if your handlers had allowed, you would have seen there was a hidden fee to your cheap groceries and orderly streets. Ask Alexei Navalny or any of his supporters.”

Whereupon Stewart played a video of Navalny mourners being harassed and arrested by Russian police, observing that “The difference between our urinal-caked, chaotic subways, and your candelabra, beautiful subways, is the literal price of freedom.” Stewart concluded by noting that to today’s right-wing Trump MAGA cult, Putin is an ally and a friend, saying “I mean liberty is nice, but have you seen Russia’s shopping carts?”

Carlson appears to be determined to prove that he is as much a Russian asset as Donald Trump. But it isn’t because of any principles that he adheres to. It’s out of the desperation that comes from being a washed up pseudo-pundit whose puerile perspectives have gotten him fired from CNN, PBS, MSNBC, and even Fox News.

So like the rest of the MAGA Republicans scrambling to avoid the inevitable anguish of irrelevancy, he’s clinging to Trump and the futile hope that such pathetic toadyism will save him. Yeah, that’ll work. Just keep hanging on and maybe you can share an apartment in Moscow with him. Or a prison cell.
