Poor Trump Whines that His Criminal Cases are Cramping His Jet Setting Golf Tourney Lifestyle

Who knew that committing 91 felonies among four criminal indictments would pose such a burden on someone’s time? And why didn’t someone warn Donald Trump that conspiring to illegally overturn an election, stealing classified documents, and inciting an insurrection, would so severely cut into one’s life of luxury?

Donald Trump Pacifier Fox

This is the tragedy that Trump finds himself in today as he tries to navigate the legal morass that he has made for himself. With cases pending in four jurisdictions, his calendar for the next few months is going to be filled with court dates and depositions and endless meetings with lawyers. Where will he find time to grift off of his gullible flock with pitches for worthless merchandise?

SEE THIS: Fox News is AGHAST that Biden Mock Fundraised Off of Trump’s Mugshot, Which Trump Did For Real

On Sunday Trump complained that his criminal undertakings have even cut into his jet setting lifestyle and at his international golf resorts. In a plaintive plea posted on his failing social media scam, Truth Social, Trump was despondent over having to miss a golf tournament in Scotland. He sobbed that…

“I have the Staysure Senior PGA Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland, on my great course, and I can’t go. I have to stay around and fight off the Crazed Radical Left Lunatics, Communists, Marxists, and Fascists. I wouldn’t want to be in Europe and watch this COUNTRY DESTROYING Scum work their disgusting and illegal ‘magic’ on unsuspecting Republican ‘leaders’ who just don’t think it is appropriate to Fight Fire With Fire. BUT WE WILL WIN. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

What a travesty! How could those sinister “Crazed Radical Left Lunatics, Communists, Marxists, and Fascists” force this punishment on poor Donnie? It’s almost like they regard the Constitution as being more important than Trump’s “pursuit of happiness.” And his lily-livered Republican confederates aren’t any better.

In light of this trauma, it needs to be noted that Trump has been complaining that the proposed dates for his upcoming trials are too soon and won’t give him sufficient time to prepare his defense. Although it could be argued that there is no amount of time that is sufficient because he has no coherent defense. He’s so obviously guilty, and he knows it. And so do most of the American people…

More to the point, if Trump is so strapped for time, then why is he upset about not attending a golf tournament in Scotland, when he should be conferring with his attorneys? Well, at least the ones that are still working with him. Perhaps the prosecutors will notify the judges that if Trump has the time to fly off to Scotland for golf today, he’s got plenty of time to be ready for trial in January.

It is also notable that this weekend Trump had the time to participate in a senior golf tournament at his Bedminster, New Jersey, club. In that contest he claimed to have a won with a score of 67. Remarkably, that’s eight shots less than golf legend Phil Mickelson scored on the same course two weeks ago.

On Truth Social Trump assured his cult followers that, with regard to his score, “there is no hanky/lanky,” whatever that is, and that because he is “surrounded by Secret Service Agents” he couldn’t cheat, as if monitoring his golf score was part of their job description. Also, he is implying that he would have cheated if the Secret Service weren’t there, or watching.

Hopefully the judges in Trump’s various cases will take note of the abundance of leisure time in his schedule and book his court appearances accordingly. If Trump wanted more time to travel, play games, hold cult rallies, post online, and do suck-up interviews on right-wing media, maybe he should not have devoted himself to committing so many crimes. Now he needs to buckle down and help his lawyers come up with some marginally plausible lies in his defense. Which, given the realistic legal options available to them, shouldn’t take very long.

Fox News is AGHAST that Biden Mock Fundraised Off of Trump’s Mugshot, Which Trump Did For Real

Last week Donald Trump made another appearance in court to be arrested and booked on his fourth criminal indictment. However, on this occasion, Trump was finally treated like any other defendant and required to pose for a mugshot. He had furiously fought that requirement, but was ultimately unsuccessful in getting the special treatment that he craved.

Donald Trump, Joe Biden

Consequently, the United States now, for the first time ever, has a formal mugshot – or in Trump’s case a “smugshot” – of a former president that will forever be a part of the historical record. Trump has tried desperately to find some political advantage in this humiliation, but outside of of his smattering of glassy-eyed cult followers, the American people are not cooperating with Trump’s wounded ego.

SEE THIS: Post-Mugshot: Trump’s Phony Bravado Falls Apart as Poll Shows Most Americans Say He’s Guilty

Over at Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda – aka Fox News – there has been a spasm of spinning taking place to peddle a preposterous picture of Trump’s legal quagmire. And the up-sucking was led by Trump’s former press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, who is now a co-host of Fox’s “Outnumbered.” McEnany was bigly bothered by a lighthearted tweet posted by President Biden in the aftermath of the Trump mugshot reporting. Biden’s tweet said simply…

Oh, the HORROR! Never mind that Biden never mentioned the mugshot, nor even Trump’s name. But to McEnany and Fox News it was tantamount to treason. McEnany whined to her colleagues that…

“What stuck out to me was that Biden is fundraising off of this. […] President Trump tweeted out that’s the time of his arrest, this goes out from Biden. ‘Apropos of nothing. I think today’s a great day to give to my campaign.’ It seems very suggestive of what was going on at 730, which was the arrest of Donald Trump. And I really think it’s a low point for a president to fundraise over the arrest of his political opponent.”

“A low point for a president”? Really? Lower than inciting an insurrection? Or lying to the FBI about stolen classified documents? Or threatening state officials in order to illegally overturn an election? Or being criminally indicted four times on 91 felony counts, which led to getting the mugshot in the first place?

What’s more, this “low point” of fundraising off of the mugshot that has Fox News so livid is apparently not a problem if it’s Trump who is doing it. Within a couple of hours after the mugshot was posted, Trump was not just making glancing references to it. He was hawking actual merchandise.

Even worse, Trump aide Chris LaCivita posted a threat to anyone else who might dare to profit from Trump’s felonious face. In a testy Twitter tantrum, LaCivita warned that…

“If you are a campaign, PAC, scammer and you try raising money off the mugshot of @realDonaldTrump and you have not received prior permission …WE ARE COMING AFTER YOU … you will NOT SCAM DONORS.”

Of course, mugshots are public property and can be republished by anyone for any reason. So this is just more hollow griping by the grifting operation that Trump runs from the basement of his Mar-a-Lago bunker. It would be fun to see Trump try to sue Biden for allegedly misappropriating his repulsive image. And as for scamming donors, it’s clear why he is adamant about others not doing that. Because that’s Trump’s thing. He wants to be the only one scamming his gullible cult.

As for Biden, on Friday he was asked directly what he thought of Trump’s mugshot. In an amusingly glib, though diplomatic, reply, Biden smiled and quipped, “Handsome guy. Wonderful guy.” Can you imagine how Trump’s profanity-laced harangue under the same circumstances, complete with yammering about “radical Marxist thugs”? would have gone down?

GOP Debate Affirms It’s a Pro-Criminal Trump Cult that Wants to Put a Felon in the White House

The first debate for the 2024 Republican nomination for president is in the can. And it lived down to most of the expectations that people had for the roster of groveling also-rans who were mostly too scared and weak to challenge the party’s frontrunner, Donald Trump.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Prison

The debate began inauspiciously with a probing question about the government’s coverup of UFOs. Thank goodness Fox News has the courage to broach the issues that are uppermost in the minds of the American people. And from there the affair descended into whiny squabbles and attempts by the participants to ingratiate themselves to the most notorious non-participant.

SEE THIS: Trump Chickens Out of the Fox News GOP Debate, Will Be Fluffed By Tucker Carlson Instead

Perhaps the most notable moment in the two hour snoozer was when the moderators sought to interject some Trumpiness into the discussion. They did this with a tangential reference to Trump’s legal tribulations. While it was encouraging that they raised the subject at all, they did so in manner that didn’t promote discussion of Trump’s crimes, but merely the other candidates’ political reactions to them.

Bret Baier: We’re all going to take a brief moment and talk about the elephant not in the room.
Martha MacCallum: Former president Trump was indicted in four different states on 91 counts. He will be processed tomorrow in Georgia at the Fulton County jail for charges related to the 2020 election.
Baier: You all signed a pledge to support the eventual Republican nominee. If former President Trump is convicted in a court of law, would you still support him as your party’s choice.

It’s important to note that the question was not simply whether they would support
Trump if were the nominee. It was if they would support him even if were convicted of crimes ranging from sexual harassment and rape, falsifying financial records, stealing and hoarding classified documents (and lying to the FBI about it), interfering with an election, and staging a violent coup.

Six of the eight candidates raised their hands indicating that they would indeed support Trump, even after he was found guilty by a jury of his peers. The only holdouts were Chris Christie and Asa Hutchinson. What this tells us is that most of the Republican Party is a pro-criminal organization that is comfortable with putting a recidivist and unrepentant felon in the White House.

Presumably, these wankers hold that position because they believe it is what the base of their party wants. They are desperately afraid of offending any of Trump’s cult followers. However, they might want to check with recent polling to see if their analyses are aligned with reality. For instance…

“The Reuters/Ipsos poll found that 45 percent of Republicans said they would not vote for Trump if he were convicted, while 35 percent said they would still cast their ballot for the former president. Another 20 percent said they were unsure of how they would vote.”

So a significant majority (65%) say that they would not vote for a convicted Trump, or are not sure. Meanwhile, Trump is hanging on to the same 30-something percent of dead-enders that he has had for months. And it’s on the “strength” of that public “support” that most of the GOP candidates are committing to back Trump, even if he’s running from prison. That message should be spread generously throughout the upcoming campaign, whether or not Trump is convicted or has even come to trial. Because it still represents their views embracing criminals.

For his part, Trump is busy campaigning on his failing social media scam, Truth Social, where he has posted 45 comments Thursday (so far). He was pretending to spend Wednesday night during the debate being interviewed by Tucker Carlson, but that was actually pre-taped days before.

The content of the interview was ridiculous in the extreme. They spent much of their time delving into critical matters such as whether his pedophile friend Jeffrey Epstein was murdered, his opinion on the possibility of his StormTrumpers starting a civil war, the prospects his being assassinated, and the tragic consequences of low water pressure. And based on that, it really was a shame that he didn’t participate in the debate so he could address those issues before the nation. Nevertheless, in typical Trumpian fashion, he’s bragging (lying) that he and Tucker won the night…

LOCK HIM UP! Trump’s Vile Lies About Judge Violate Court Orders to Cease Inflammatory Statements

Another day, another display by Donald Trump of rancid acrimony and hatred smothered in dishonesty and a determination to deceive weak-minded cultists and to foment violence. These outpourings of Trump’s dark and venomous visions serve only as futile attempts to pacify his fears and to suck funds from his glassy-eyed disciples.

Donald Trump, Woman, Fear

Last week Trump was given a stern warning by Judge Tanya Chutkan, who presiding over his election fraud and coup attempt case in Washington, D.C. She warned him that any further “inflammatory statements” regarding the case, including those aimed at prosecutors and witnesses, would result in harsh consequences that “would force her to speed his trial on charges related to his bid to subvert the 2020 election.” Trump managed to restrain himself for a few hours, but now he is, as expected, reverting to his familiar form of infantile insults as his total lack of self control reasserts itself.

SEE THIS: OH MY: Judge Warns Trump that His ‘Inflammatory Statements’ Could Hasten His Legal Horror Story

However, after having been explicitly ordered to refrain from such rhetoric, Trump’s outbursts are now justification for sanctions by the court, which can include anything from financial penalties to incarceration. And the determination of his breach of judicial orders is not a close call. On his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump raged that…

“Judge Tanya Chutkan—an Obama leftwing activist judge in DC, whose husband also got appointed by Obama as a DC judge—openly admitted she’s running election interference against Trump.”

Of course, Judge Chutkan never “admitted” any such thing. What Trump is referring to is part of her admonition last week wherein she told Trump that…

“What the defendant is currently doing — the fact that he’s running a political campaign has to yield to the orderly administration of justice. If that means he can’t say exactly what he wants to say about witnesses in this case, that’s how it has to be”

In other words, Chutkan is treating Trump like any other criminal defendant who would not be permitted to attack or intimidate people associated with the trial. She is actually being rather lenient by not subjecting him to a full-on gag order. She further noted that,,,

“Mr. Trump, like every American, has a First Amendment right to free speech. But that right is not aboslute… Defendant’s free speech is subject to the release conditions imposed at arraignment and it must yield to the orderly administration of justice.”

Undeterred by the judge’s warnings, Trump re-posted a comment that maligned the integrity of the court, saying that “Donald Trump is not going to get a fair shake in DC, the home of the swamp.” He disparaged the jury pool saying that the people of D.C. “support a double-standard of justice” and that the prosecution was a “politicized case.” And he then extended his assault to special counsel Jack Smith, saying

“How dare lowlife prosecutor, Deranged Jack Smith, break into my former Twitter account without informing me and, indeed, trying to completely hide this atrocity from me. What could he possibly find out that is not already known. Just like the early morning raid of Mar-a-Lago! Why isn’t the DOJ raiding Crooked Joe Biden, the most CORRUPT (and Incompetent!) President in the history of the United States?”

For the record, it is routine for prosecutors to seek communications by defendants that could provide evidence of wrongdoing, conspiracy, and consciousness of guilt. And such probes are rarely disclosed to the subject to prevent them from tampering with, or destroying the evidence. As for why President Biden was not the subject of raids, it is quite simply because, unlike Trump, he always cooperated with law enforcement and never lied to them as Trump did.

Trump also accused Chutkan of being a “highly partisan Judge [who] obviously wants me behind bars. VERY BIASED & UNFAIR!” His “proof” of that were comments she made in the sentencing of one of Trump’s insurrectionists, wherein she accurately described the January 6th StormTrumpers as “people who mobbed the Capitol [and] were there in fealty, in loyalty, to one man — not to the Constitution.”

Given the unequivocal ugliness of Trump’s statements, and how flagrantly they violate the court orders, Judge Chutkan should seriously consider sanctioning Trump. Failing to do so would only embolden him to engage in more attacks and intimidation. It’s long past time that he be held accountable.

Trump Lashes Out at Georgia Prosecutor After New Evidence of His Election Fraud is Revealed

Nothing is a more reliable gauge of Donald Trump’s deteriorating mental state than his own rancid ravings on Truth Social, his floundering Twitter ripoff. Every posting is a marker of a new low for his paranoia, fear, malignant narcissism, and seething hatred of anything or anyone that is less than wholly worshipful.

Last week Trump got a brutal smackdown by Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is presiding over his election fraud and coup attempt case in Washington, D.C. She warned him that any further “inflammatory statements” regarding the case, including those aimed at prosecutors and witnesses, would result in harsh consequences that “would force her to speed his trial on charges related to his bid to subvert the 2020 election.”

SEE THIS: OH MY: Judge Warns Trump that His ‘Inflammatory Statements’ Could Hasten His Legal Horror Story

Surprisingly, That admonition appears to have had some effect. Ever since the warning was given, Trump has totally refrained from the vile commentaries he had been disgorging. Don’t expect that to continue, however, as Trump’s notorious temper and infantile lack of self control is likely to reassert itself, resulting in more violations of the judge’s order.

In the meantime, things are heating up in Georgia, where Fani Willis, the District Attorney of Fulton County, is said to be preparing his fourth criminal indictment. A new report has uncovered evidence that Trump and his anti-democratic accomplices exchanged emails and texts wherein they discussed a scheme to breach voting systems as part of their effort to overturn the election. According To CNN…

“Sources tell CNN that Atlanta prosecutors have text messages and emails that directly connect members of Trump’s legal team [and Trump] to the 2021 breach of a voting system.”

As a result of these new developments, Trump is now lambasting Willis in the most unsavory manner. He is spreading vicious lies about her personal life, alleging that she “is being accused of having an ‘affair’ with a Gang Member of a group that she is prosecuting.” Of course, those accusations are entirely without any factual basis, and are being made by disreputable MAGA cultists. And since Trump can’t smear Judge Chutkan and special counsel Jack Smith anymore, he is now bashing Willis and the Georgia prosecution, saying that…

“The only Election Interference that took place in Fulton County, Georgia, was done by those that Rigged and Stole the Election, not by me, who simply complained that the Election was Rigged and Stolen. We have Massive and Conclusive Proof.”

For the record, Trump did not “simply complain” about the election being “Rigged and Stolen.” He pressured the governor of Georgia and other election officials to illegally “find” 11,780 more votes to put him over the top in the state. He also threatened them with prosecution if they declined to comply with his demands.

SEE ALSO: LISTEN: Trump Threatens Georgia Officials For Not Helping Him Subvert the Election

What’s more, if Trump has “Massive and Conclusive Proof” of the election rigging he alleges, why has he kept it all to himself for nearly three years? And why didn’t he provide it in any of the sixty election fraud court cases that he lost? Why doesn’t he just release it now and clear his badly stained name, rather than whining impotently and throwing tantrums?

On Saturday, Trump was asked at an appearance in Iowa if he “defend[s] the actions by your allies in Georgia following the 2020 election?” This seems to be a reference to the CNN story about breaching voting systems in Georgia. Trump replied that…

“Many of the allies I don’t know because we have so many allies. So I don’t know exactly what you’re talking about.”

If you replace “allies” with “accomplices,” this answer would make more sense. Trump does have too many accomplices committing too many crimes to keep track of, poor guy. As his avenues to vindication seal up, his outbursts get ever more desperate and preposterous. And this is just the beginning as none of his trials have even commenced yet. Fasten you seat belts, America.

UPDATE: Trump resumed his attacks on Judge Chutkan, in violation of court orders to refrain from “inflammatory statements.”

OH MY: Judge Warns Trump that His ‘Inflammatory Statements’ Could Hasten His Legal Horror Story

The latest indictment of Donald Trump – his third so far – is moving expeditiously through the process of coming to trial. Needless to say, this is triggering severe anxiety for Trump who knows that he is guilty and is terrified of having to face the consequences of his criminal acts.

Donald Trump

Facing this unprecedented legal peril, Trump has resorted to his standard mode of response: Unhinged outrage and hostility directed at his perceived persecutors. Just like his reactions to his previous indictments, Trump is lashing out hysterically at everyone involved, including the lawyers, the judges, and the Justice Department, who are all just doing their jobs. And it is having a profound impact on his emotional stability, or lack thereof…

SEE THIS: UPDATE on Donald Trump’s Deteriorating Mental State

On Friday morning Judge Tanya Chutkan held a hearing in order to determine the terms of a proposed protective order regarding the handling of evidence that he receives from special counsel Jack Smith during discovery. Chutkan ruled mostly in favor of the terms requested by Trump’s attorney, only prohibiting the use of certain sensitive information, such as Grand Jury testimony. However, Judge Chutkan went a bit farther to preserve the integrity and fairness of the trial. According to Politico

“U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan warned Donald Trump and his attorney Friday that repeated ‘inflammatory’ statements about his latest criminal prosecution would force her to speed his trial on charges related to his bid to subvert the 2020 election.

“‘I caution you and your client to take special care in your public statements about this case,’ Chutkan told Trump lawyer John Lauro during a hearing. ‘I will take whatever measures are necessary to safeguard the integrity of these proceedings.'”

In other words, if Trump insists on making the sort of incendiary remarks for which he is infamous, it could result in the trial date being moved forward in order to prevent him from causing further harm and from tainting the jury pool. Trump has already made it clear that he is opposed to the January 2, 2024, trial date that the special counsel has proposed. Making it earlier would only compound his anger and fear. Except when he he’s whining that it wasn’t early enough. The judge went on to say that…

“‘The fact that he’s running apolitical campaign has to yield to the orderly administration of justice,’ Chutkan said. ‘If that means he can’t say exactly what he wants to say about witnesses in this case, that’s how it has to be.’

“‘Even arguably ambiguous statements from parties or their counsel, if they can be reasonably interpreted to intimidate witnesses or to prejudice potential jurors, can threaten the process,’ Chutkan added later.”

Judge Chutkan is making it clear that she will not tolerate the sort of disruptive and childish behavior that Trump exhibits in his social media rants and at his cult rallies. If he fails to comply with these instructions, there will be repercussion that he will surely regret. She even ordered that “Trump would be required to review [sensitive] information without any electronic devices” to prevent him from improperly making copies.

The problem for Trump is that he has never shown the discipline or maturity to be able to curtail his worst impulses. And the likelihood that he will violate Chutkan’s instructions is inevitable. He believes that he is almighty and infallible.

It’s the same self-delusion that got him into this trouble in the first place by refusing to accept that he lost the election, and then stealing classified materials and hoarding them at his Mar-a-Lago hotel/home. And he regards any criticism of him as tantamount to treason. Under the circumstance, Chutkan may have been to lenient.

UPDATE I: Over 24 hours after Judge Chutkan’s admonition, Trump has not posted a single comment maligning Jack Smith or his case against Trump’s election lies and attempted coup. Has he been scared into silence? Don’t bet on it. His manic compulsions are strong and may just be temporarily stunned.

UPDATE II: As expected, Trump has resumed his attacks on Judge Chutkan, in violation of court orders to refrain from “inflammatory statements.”

LOL: Fox News Defends Trump By Admitting that He’s a Lying, Narcissistic, Anti-Democratic, Loser

Last week Donald Trump was served the latest in his collection of criminal indictments. And it’s quite a collection that includes 78 felony counts ranging from falsifying financial records, to stealing and hoarding classified documents, to interfering with congressional proceedings, to lying to federal authorities, to obstructing justice.

Donald Trump, Fox News

Trump’s most recent indictment involves his efforts to undermine democracy and unlawfully clinging to power through deception and intimidation. He and his attorneys are trying to dismiss the allegations as merely expressions of free speech, but they are pretending not to know that he is being charged for what he did, not what said. And, by the way, what he said is illegal all by itself.

SEE THIS: WTF? Trump’s Attorney Repeatedly Insists that January 6th Was a ‘Peaceful Transfer of Power’

Predictably, Trump’s Ministry of Disinformation (aka Fox News) has been furiously spinning the news associated with Trump’s criminality. They have been hosting Trump flunkies from the press and politics to flagrantly lie about the state of his pending criminal cases. Among them was his attorney, John Lauro, whose bizarre commentaries seek to exonerate Trump with delusional claims such as that the deadly January 6th insurrection was a “peaceful transition of power.”

On Monday morning, Fox News host, Julie Banderas, delivered one of the most absurd defenses of Trump to date. In a segment wherein she was arguing that it would be impossible to have a fair trial for Trump, she ended up conceding the most deplorable personality traits that most Americans already attribute to him…

“[Trying] this case impartially is impossible. Politics written all over it. Attorneys are supposed to represent the law, not politics. Judges, same. […] So I want to talk about Trump’s alleged crimes for a second. He hasn’t been indicted with incitement. So we know that. It’s not a crime to tell lies. Being a narcissist isn’t a crime. Hatching schemes to stay in office is not a crime. And claiming you won an election that you know you lost is not a crime.

First of all, Banderas takes the wholly unpatriotic position that her colleagues in the conservative press share, which is that the American justice system is fatally flawed and incapable of serving the interests of the people and the law. She flat out rejects the notion that any crimes committed by politicians can be fairly adjudicated. Her implication is that they should all get off scot free, so long as they are Republicans.

Banderas also complained that “there is no way” a judge who “has it in for one of their future cases” is going to recuse themselves. And with that she is perfectly describing the situation in Florida where the Trump-appointed judge, Aileen Cannon, is presiding over the stolen classified documents case.

Banderas then goes on to explain why Trump, in particular, should be excused from any accountability for his crimes. And in the process she makes some startling concessions as to his character. For instance, she says that…

  • “It’s not a crime to tell lies.” So Trump is not guilty, even though he is a liar.
  • Being a narcissist isn’t a crime. So Trump is not guilty, even though he is a narcissist.
  • “Hatching schemes to stay in office is not a crime.” So Trump is not guilty, even though he conspired to retain power by soliciting fake electors and threatening state election officials.
  • “Claiming you won an election that you know you lost is not a crime.” So Trump is not guilty, even though he lost in 2020 and has been lying about it ever since.

It’s nice of Banderas to finally admit that Trump is a lying, narcissistic, anti-democratic, loser. However, contrary to Banderas’ conclusion, that doesn’t really mean that he isn’t guilty. There are many lies told by con men, or others in the commission of fraud, that are indeed crimes. Also perjury, which is a lie under oath, is a crime. And false statements on financial documents are crimes.

It is also a crime to conspire to overturn an election by recruiting people to impersonate electors who will vote for Trump when the actual electors selected by voters chose Joe Biden. It’s also a crime to threaten governors and other state officials with prosecution, or otherwise propose retribution, if they don’t fraudulently “find” thousands of votes to overturn an election outcome. And it is certainly a crime to do all of the above to correct alleged election fraud, especially when you know that there wasn’t any such fraud. In fact, it would still be a crime if there was fraud, which there wasn’t.

The only part of Banderas’ commentary that was accurate, was her assertion that narcissism isn’t a crime. However, it is a repulsive and potentially dangerous trait for anyone in a position of power. And it can surely lead to crimes by such a person who regards themselves as superior and entitled to commit crimes if they feel like it. And if you’ve been paying attention, you shouldn’t need any further evidence of that than Donald Trump.

For the record, Trump was charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstructing an official proceeding, and conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted. All of which are the sort of crimes that Banderas was so cavalierly dismissing. Which is typical for Fox News, as is evident in the following stories…

WTF? Trump’s Attorney Repeatedly Insists that January 6th Was a ‘Peaceful Transfer of Power’

Last week Donald Trump was indicted for the third time, which puts him in first place for the number of times that an American president or former president was indicted. Second place is a 45 way tie with zero times indicted. And with a total of 78 felony counts pending against him, there are pretty good odds that he will be convicted of something, and even prison isn’t out of the question.

Donald Trump Insurrection

But Trump isn’t resting on his lack of morals. He spent much of the week defying court orders to refrain from intimidating jurors or witnesses, or obstructing the administration of justice. In multiple posts on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump overtly threatened everyone from the judge, to special counsel Jack Smith, to potential witnesses and jurors, to his own former Vice-President, Mike Pence.

SEE THIS: Trump Attacks Pence on Truth Social After Told By Judge to Refrain From Witness Intimidation

On Sunday morning Trump’s lead attorney, John Lauro, pulled what is known in the media as a “full Ginsburg,” by appearing on every major Sunday morning political news television program. But if he thinks he was benefiting his client, he might be sorely disappointed when he reads the reviews of his performances.

What Lauro has offered as a defense for Trump is extraordinarily weak and devoid of any legal basis. For instance, on CNN’s State of the Union, Lauro was interviewed by Dana Bash. He attempted to justify Trump’s crimes by falsely asserting that they were merely expressions of free speech. Never mind that the indictments are not charging Trump for what he said, but for what he did. Lauro even acknowledged that in the interview. However, he went off the rails shortly thereafter…

Lauro: The ultimate request that president Trump made was to pause the voting for ten days to allow the states to recertify or certify or audit, and Mr. Pence rejected that as well. After that there was a peaceful transition of power. So that’s how the Constitution works.
Bash: What happened on January 6th was not peaceful.
Lauro: Wait a minute. The transfer of power was certainly peaceful
Bash: Did you see what happened on January 6th? Did that look peaceful to you?
Lauro: I’m not saying that that was in any way appropriate. But the ultimate power of the presidency was transferred to Mr. Biden.

For starters, Lauro’s assertion that Trump tried to get Pence to “pause the voting for ten days” is a virtual admission of his guilt. The Congress is mandated by the Constitution to certify the Electoral College vote, and the vice-president has no authority to interfere with that. The fact that Pence declined to participate in Trump’s criminal conspiracy doesn’t absolve Trump of guilt.

Perhaps more bizarre was Lauro’s contention that the January 6th insurrection that Trump incited was a “peaceful transition of power.” He is taking the brazenly delusional position that many of Trump’s cult followers in politics and the press have previously tried to take.

Dana Bash, however, wasn’t having it. She immediately corrected Lauro. Although her correction appeared to have no effect on him. He persisted with his lies. And he elaborated by saying that, because the presidency was eventually transferred, that any suggestion of violence was null and void. By that logic, the Civil War was peaceful. After all, ultimately power was ceded to the Union and the Confederacy acquiesced. See? Totally peaceful.

In his interview with Chuck Todd on NBC’s Meet the Press, Lauro also claimed that Trump was innocent because “Trump believed in his heart of hearts that he had won that election.” Which is an utterly absurd legal argument. It would mean that if you “believe in your heart” that your bank ripped you off, you have a right to conspire with your friends to rob it.

It’s also notable that throughout the interview, Lauro referred to Trump as the “president,” but in this exchange he referred to the actual President as “Mr. Biden.” This is a deliberate effort to shape the narrative that Biden is not the legitimate President and that Trump was denied his place as America’s first dictator.

These sort of statements might work well to feed the fetid fantasies of Trump’s cult followers on Fox News, but they will fail pitifully with the nation at large, and especially, in the courtroom. It’s a preposterous defense strategy. But it’s likely the best that Trump can expect considering that he has no coherent case for innocence, or access to reputable attorneys.

Trump’s Pathetic ‘Welcome to the Fraud Squad’ Meme Doesn’t Mean What He Thinks it Means

Poor Donald Trump. He is convinced that he is social media’s top influencer and the Internet’s premiere meme artist. But to the contrary, he is a pitiful geezer barking at his glassy-eyed cult followers on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, which is hemorrhaging both cash and users as it struggles to avoid the mounting legal turmoil that is threatening its extinction.

Trump, Fraud Squad

If it seems like each new day brings more indictments against Trump, it isn’t your imagination. He pleaded not guilty on both Thursday and Friday this week to new felony counts (78 so far) of undermining democracy and obstruction of justice. Which is ironic considering what Trump said back in 2016 about Hillary Clinton, who has racked up a total of zero indictments…

Trump’s flaming fear of finally being held to account for his lifetime of crime has been on full display. He is lashing out furiously at his perceived enemies with rancid and infantile insults at politicians and the press. But most of all, Trump is super mad at the prosecutors who are doing their duty to uphold the law.

Trump has frequently lobbed accusations of racism at Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg, New York Attorney General, Letitia James, and Fulton County, Georgia D.A., Fani Willis, all of whom are Black. And he has repeatedly referred to special counsel Jack Smith as a “deranged” “leftist” “thug” who is doing the bidding of “Crooked” Joe Biden. Never mind that neither Biden, nor his Attorney General Merrick Garland, have had anything to do with Smith’s investigation or indictments. That’s why independent special counsels are appointed.

None of that, however, has deterred Trump from making wild and wholly unsupported claims of “prosecutorial misconduct” and “election interference.” And on Friday Trump summed up his outrage in a meme (posted above) that puts his idiocy on exhibit for the world to see.

The meme features a picture of Biden and the four prosecutors (so far) that are probing Trump’s multitude of crimes. He calls them “The Fraud Squad.” But the problem with that is that Trump’s limited capabilities with the English language make this meme a compliment, rather than the attack that he intended.

Just like the “Homicide Squad” goes after murderers, and the “Vice Squad” goes after crimes of moral offenses (gambling, prostitution, drugs), the Fraud Squad would go after swindlers, hustlers, and con men. In other words, Trump. Therefore, his graphic is actually a tribute to the President and the law enforcement officials who are seeking to bring Trump to justice.

Trump’s rap sheet for fraud is long and well documented. His phony “university” was shut down and he was ordered to pay $25 million to his victims. His New York charity, the Trump Foundation, was also shuttered and he and his family were prohibited from running any other non-profits in the state for five years.

In addition to his misdirected meme, Trump also posted an overt threat just hours after he was warned not to do so by Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is overseeing his case in Washington, D.C. He raged that “IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!”

Set aside that Trump’s threats are feeble flustering that he doesn’t have the fortitude to follow through on. They are nevertheless dangerous because they are signals to his cult disciples who might be crazy enough to carry out his retribution for him. Then they would suffer the consequences of arrest and imprisonment while Trump bellies up to the breakfast bar and crashes weddings at his Mar-a-Lago resort. Which is likely where the Fraud Squad will find him after he is convicted and they are ready to transport him to the penitentiary.

INDICT FOX NEWS! They Are as Guilty as Trump of the Same Crimes in His Latest Indictment

This week the twice-impeached Donald Trump was indicted for the third time for serious felonies against the United States. That brings the total count of the charges against him to 78. Which is a remarkable achievement considering that second place for the number charges against a president is a 45 way tie of zero counts.

Donald Trump Fox News

The latest batch of crimes in the new indictment charge Trump with: conspiracy to defraud the United States; conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding; obstruction of an official proceeding; and conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted. Trump’s defense is the same one he has been yammering about since his first indictment. It consists mainly of insulting the Justice Department, Attorney General Merrick Garland, special counsel Jack Smith, and of course President Biden. What his defense is conspicuously lacking is, well, a defense.

Trump’s new indictment also mentions six of his close associates as unindicted co-conspirators. They are not named in the indictment, but it is pretty clear who most of them are. Five of them have been identified in the press as Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Sidney Powell, Jeffrey Clark, Kenneth Chesebro, and an unknown political consultant. Interestingly, all of the known co-conspirators have been Trump’s legal advisors.

However, there is another co-conspirator that wasn’t mentioned in the indictment, but that deserves more scrutiny. And that is Fox News. Examining each of the counts charged in Trump’s indictment reveals that Fox News is just as guilty of those crimes as Trump. For instance…

Conspiracy to defraud the United States:
Trump has spent nearly three years claiming falsely that the 2020 election was “rigged and stolen” from him. He has never been able to provide a shred of evidence to support his claims. But Fox News has regurgitated his lies faithfully the whole time. Their dishonesty resulted in having to agree to settle a defamation lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems for 3/4 of a billion dollars.

Conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding:
Trump and his team plotted to overturn the election results by soliciting slates of fake electors who would cast their Electoral College votes for Trump, against the will of the voters. Several of Fox’s hosts (i.e. Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Maria Bartiromo) were on board with that plot and encouraged Trump to pursue it.

Obstruction of an official proceeding;
Trump’s efforts to interfere with the constitutionally mandated duties of Congress to certify the election outcome resulted in the violent insurrection on January 6th, 2021. The riots that ensued caused Congress to shut down its proceedings as their members and staff, and even Trump’s Vice-President Mike Pence, fled for their lives.

Conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted:
All of Trump’s activities from election day November 3, 2020, until the the January 6th insurrection and beyond, were intended to deprive American voters of their right to have the candidate of their choice assume office. He even threatened the governor of Georgia (and other state officials) with prosecution if he didn’t “find” 11,870 more votes for Trump. And Fox News aided and abetted Trump every step of the way.

While the responsibility for these offenses against America and democracy lies primarily with Trump, it is impossible to separate Fox News from the conspiracy and the crimes. Although Trump was the criminal boss, he could not have gotten as far as he did without Fox News.

Trump’s lies about 2020 election fraud, his plots to undermine democracy, his inciting of an insurrection, his pressuring of state election officials to change vote counts, all contributed to his attempted coup, and were all backed by Fox News. And it is not insignificant that many of the January 6th defendants have cited Fox News as justification for their actions. But on Fox News those rioters were heralded as heroes and/or victims.

For all of the reasons stated above, it would be appropriate for Fox News to be included in the prosecution of Trump and his crimes against the United States. Fox principles like Rupert Murdoch and Suzanne Scott, along with hosts Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Jesse Watters, Maria Bartiromo, and others, should be held to account for their anti-American actions. They are more than disseminators of propaganda. They are co-conspirators and traitors.
